This Friday, I had a holiday party for work. Most people drinking, 11:30 am.
Three course meal with tiramusu and gelato.
I got invited to this party, because I was so nice, in my first interaction, with a boss, and was told to be invited.
I came home with pizza and covid-test kits.
Met a few people who will start working in our building, in January.
After this social gathering, I attended another one, for a friend.
That one was about celebrating community, and I was able to bring my cousins along, meet with friends for a bit.
I got home 7:30 pm, and was tired from work, and all the social stuff.
Writing to myself from a distance.
Who knew you would be in your 20s, with a little salary?
You pictured yourself as Mr. Morale.
You more university than ever.
Stable money. People gotta eat.
As a child of two filipino immigrants, born with a disability, I intend to go further, and as far as I can, in America.
Most real is people going for better, whether that’s money, health, or relationships.
I intend to replace social media with human connection.
If I’m not addicted to practicing bad habits.
I’m probably writing poems about loneliness.
Praying cold water can wake me up.
Cause it was hard waking up today, only Tuesday.
6 to 6, 3 months straight, I deserve happiness.
