Shy’an G- Remember This Day

“You’re too young to be tired,” said Jose, the Whole Foods store team manager said to me as I sat back on the couch, in the break room, taking a break from washing the dishes. (23)

I did something meaningful for me.

I’m grateful to have grown up affluent and be college-educated.

The story of immigrant parents, going abroad and giving their children more opportunities.

I made it to the NBA, momma.

I’m proud of myself for consistently waking up early, working early, and exercising daily.

I’m proud of myself for working for a year.

(Amazon Prime Shoppers, woohoo!)

A lot of companies want to hire me for minimum wage.

I‘m thinking of being on salary.

12 hours a month for 12 months. 2k per year.

I have honored my work commitments.

I’m grateful to have time to exercise for 30 minutes every day.

I’m grateful for having time to hoop on the weekend.

Purpose (45%) + Priority (45%) = Productivity (10% people seen)

I used to work two part-time jobs, one for Amazon, and one for the Golden State Warriors.

(124 items, 9.3.21 / 1 year at Amazon, working as a prime shopper)

One pays $15.25, one pays $17.82.

I bring diversity to every organization I been apart of.

Life, practicing meditation.

Breathe.

DREAMS:

CREATE.

FAMILY TIME.

FREE TIME.

MEANINGFUL FRIENDSHIPS / RELATIONSHIPS.

I used my ethnicity and my disability in the world, to make the world better.

Jonathan Kuminga realized his dream; he left his parents at 13 and left his homeland (Congo) to fulfill his dreams of making the NBA.

I dream about taking care of myself, my family, the people I love, my community, and the world.

I dream about working towards what I like to see in the world.

I dream about having meaningful friendships and relationships.

I dream about always doing my best.

I dream about making the world better.

I dream about having a lot of self-love.

I dream about working for the Warriors.

I dream about having a healthy diet.

I dream about being in the best shape possible.

I’m going to possibly be interacting with thousands of people working in Chase Center (full capacity-18,064 fans).

Working at Chase may put me at even more risk of being exposed to covid.
